If a gap to be sealed is not too wide in width, then the most optimal solution is caulking or siliconing. There are bathrooms special  sealants, what can be used in rooms with a high level of humidity. Here you have two options: a silicone-based sealant or caulk.

Silicone sealant has all the qualities that allow it to be used in quite specific conditions of a bathroom: water resistance, elasticity, strength, resistance to temperature changes and influence of aggressive environment.

A caulk has not so good performance characteristics, but on top of it you can apply tub enamel.
