I’m posting this review for friends who don’t have an account — We live in Michigan and couldn’t find anyone local to fix our black marble Knoll-Saarinen tabletop. It had a single crack in the marble and a cracking clear polymer top-coating. We found ABC Stone and talked to Eugene. He gave us a quote, and we arranged to have the repair done at the home of two generous friends in NJ. In transporting from Michigan to New Jersey, one crack became thousands (see the pictures on this website). Our table is over 60 year old, and we didn’t know that black marble becomes brittle with age. We thought it was destined for the landfill. Eugene fixed it beautifully, and he did it for the price that he initially quoted! It took him over three hours just to fit the pieces back together. He reinforced it with steel rods and epoxy in multiple places to make it strong enough to make the trip back to Michigan. It’s uplifting to meet someone so skilled, honest, patient, communicative and professional. Can’t rate him and his business highly enough.

Eugene was a true professional from setting up the appointment, arriving promptly, doing a terrific job on the marble and cleaning up. Highly recommend him for any stone work.

Eugene was very fairly priced, professional, and quick! I reached out to a few companies for quotes and information on a repair of our marble near the kitchen sink. Eugene responded to my email within 15 minutes and was able to do the job within a few days. He was very transparent about the longevity of the repair to set our expectations (it’s near water which makes it prone to repeat cracks) and took the time to explain why it had cracked (rusted metal inside) and how we can help prevent future cracks (sealing the seam where the marble meets the sink). He was very careful with our home – putting plastic on the floors and cabinets to protect the surrounding areas during the repair process. I would highly recommend Eugene to anybody looking for marble work!

Absolutely amazing. Hours literally spent on just prep work to both protect our home and floors and to the actual table we had repaired itself. The stone was over 100 years old and he got it looking like it was brand new and repaired a huge crack. There was no rush to finish, no cutting corners or anything like that. They are truly a rarity when it comes to work like this. There is an art behind stone repair, and they are truly masters. Most trades today just want to get the job done, but they truly took pride in the work and stayed to make sure it came out perfect. We have a few other stone pieces we plan on having refinished by them as well now after this. Absolutely amazing work!

I reached out to Eugene after a quick online search late one evening upon discovering that my 7yr old daughter had accidentally covered our new marble table in magic marker. Eugene wrote back to me within an hour, even though it was extremely late in the evening – and rather than promise to fix the issue, he explained that he couldn’t guarantee a fix, and as such, would only charge me a sliver of his usual fee to give it a try. He then went on to outline various methods I could try on my own before retaining his services. This sort of customer service and honesty is so rare to find, so I wanted to share this post to help him as he grows his business. And best of all: his home remedy worked and my table was saved. Eugene is a selfless guy who knows his trade!

Eugene did a great job cutting out a larger hole in the counter and installing a new sink. He was very careful in measuring before starting any work to make sure that everything will go smoothly.

Highly recommend this business! Very responsive. After my kitchen sink fell in, they were able to install custom brackets under my kitchen sink basin to keep it attached to counter without drilling into countertop.

Excellent work done by ABC stone. I had a cracked counter near my sink. They were quick to respond to my inquiry via google and scheduled a convenient repair time for me. The repair took about 2 hours but Tec let me know in advance that that would be the case. He was kind and professional, and I can’t notice the cracks anymore. He also explained in depth some reasons why my counter could be cracking and how to avoid it.

Eugene at ABC Stone refinished my 48″ Saarinen Tulip table. The before and after photos say it all. Eugene came on time and did a fantastic job. No smell either. So glad I didn’t have to buy a replacement table top (if that’s even possible).

Eugene came on time, spent 1 1/2 hours putting plastic around surrounding areas so they wouldn’t get wet. He was methodical and cleaned and repaired my two quartz stone countertops. He stayed beyond time he was supposed to in order to redo a missed area. He treated my countertops and cleaned up all the debris. I am absolutely thrilled to see my beautiful, brand new stone countertops. Job well done!!!

This company does very professional work, taking care to protect all surrounding surfaces. They fixed my granite countertop where there was a lot of damage around the sink area, and it looks great. I would definitely hire them again.
