Verbal Consent Script
When customers call ABC Stone Inc., our receptionist (live or AI) uses the following script to obtain SMS consent:
Customer response: Customer verbally agrees by saying “yes,” “sure,” “okay,” or similar affirmative response.
Consent confirmation: Once consent is obtained, we only send the specific information requested by the customer during that call.
How Consent is Collected
When you call ABC Stone Inc., our receptionist (live or AI) may ask whether you would like to receive information by SMS (for example, our business email, estimate photos instructions, appointment links, or a follow-up message). We only send a text message if you explicitly tell us you agree to receive it.
Consent is collected through:
- Verbal agreement during phone calls
- Explicit opt-in request from the customer
- Written confirmation via contact forms (when applicable)
What We Send by SMS
Typical SMS messages include a single informational message, such as:

- Instructions for sending photos for an estimate

- A short follow-up or confirmation related to your inquiry
Frequency & Promotional Content
We do not send promotional or marketing messages unless you explicitly opt-in to receive promotions. Standard messaging rates may apply according to your carrier.
Message frequency: Varies based on customer request. Typically, 1-3 messages per inquiry or service request.
How to Opt-Out
If you no longer wish to receive SMS messages from us, reply STOP to any SMS you receive from ABC Stone Inc. After replying STOP you will not receive further messages.

Record Keeping & Proof of Consent
We keep records of verbal consent collected during calls and link that consent to the caller’s phone number and call transcript. If Twilio or another carrier requests proof, we can provide the transcript and timestamp showing the caller’s explicit request to receive a text.
Records include:
- Date and time of consent
- Phone number provided
- Call transcript or recording (when applicable)
- Type of message requested
Data Privacy
We will not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit permission. Your information is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your service request and communication preferences with ABC Stone Inc.
