Between Toilet and Marble Floor after Re Siliconing

Clean the sides of the toilet base from traces of dirt, old grout or caulk. After this, carefully dry them with torch or fan, as well as the adjacent floor.

The further processed joint must be degreased with acetone or solvent.

In order to make the seam smooth, determine its boundaries by putting a masking tape that will be removed later.

Next, cut the tip from the tube or cartridge to the required depth. The diameter of the resulting hole, as well as the angle of the cut, will determine the seam width and thickness. For example, by making an acute angle, you will get a neat and thin joint.

Next comes the immediate siliconing. Insert the cartridge into the gun and pump the trigger. Press the tube or the handle of the gun gently and evenly to get a continuous and smooth seam along the toilet perimeter.

To smoothly distribute silicone, moisten your finger in a soapy solution and drag through on the joint.
