Textured Line Removal. White Thassos Floor
This floor was decorated along the perimeter with textured tiles (tiles with rough line engraved into stone on depth about 1/4″). The owner was concerned about it getting dirty very fast, and tough to clean up so finally he decide to completely remove that line.
To remove the line we grind down the floor with planetary head floor machine (the same machine we use for lippage removal as it has highest performance), then polish it as usually but by progressively reducing space between wall and floor machine, so by this way we achieved the smooth finish and avoided sharp wave close to wall.
