Countertop Hole Drilled for Faucet

This method is recommended when drilling holes in a stone, first start drilling the stone at a significant angle to drill a small groove, then gradually align the diamond crown to vertical position.

If you immediately press the diamond crown to the surface of stone and start drilling, the drill will not stand still, but will roll over the surface and scratch the surface around.

Not always core drill bits are well-centered and if you have a little experience in drilling holes in a stone, you can initially not keep the tool in one spot and scratch around, chip the edge of drilled hole and finally, just inaccurately drill the hole.
