What is needed to custom marble fabrication?
Any stone is needed three basic tools to perform fabrication:
Saws
There are different saws to serve different functions during the fabrication process.
– Block saws cut the block into smaller and more customized slabs. There are now diamond wire cutters, which ease this task considerably.
– Bridge saw cutting by round blade made from mixture or industrial diamonds and specially treated steel.
Polishers
These grind down and sand out the cut section of slabs into a refined state, with the whole process resulting to a mirror-like shine and reflection. There are different settings for the polishers, making the variety of reflective finishes, which suit the customer’s need.
Routers
These trim the edges on the slabs, profiling to different kinds of edges on countertops and even fireplaces, to make it more smooth and appealing. The designs are placed in either automated or hand operated routers, then the router does its thing.

I was thinking of having a custom stone fabrication done as we are currently having our kitchen remodeled and a personalized marble countertop sounds nice. Knowing that there would be many tools such as the routers that are used to trim the edges on the slabs as you’ve mentioned needed in the process makes me believe that I would need a professional help in this idea. I’ll try contacting a professional to see if they can make my dream come true as it would suit our kitchen’s new design perfectly. Thanks! https://thestonemillinc.com/
