Granite Countertop Metal Rod Removal

This granite kitchen countertop developed a long crack along the sink area due to a rusting metal reinforcement rod that was expanding over time. Previous repair attempts with standard crack filling and polishing provided only temporary results, as the underlying metal rod continued to rust and cause the crack to reopen wider and deeper. The damaged section required proper metal rod removal to achieve a lasting repair solution.
